Product Detail

The Carl Martin Acoustic GiG Guitar Pedal is a must - have for acoustic guitarists. Building on the long - standing popularity of the Carl Martin Quattro, Carl aimed to bring the same high - quality, user - friendly design to acoustics. It starts with an award - winning Compressor/Limiter circuit. You can easily adjust compression and level with individual controls. Next up is the well - loved Vintage Style Echo. With controls for level, tone, repeat, and tap - tempo, and a ‘Dotted 8th Note’ switch, it creates beautiful musical echoes. The new Analogue/Digital Hybrid Reverb is modeled after vintage - style spring reverbs. It gives a warm, shimmering sound and turns into a modulation/chorus/reverb texture at higher settings. The Boost lets you cut through the mix with a clean 15dB volume increase for solos, without altering your tone or causing extra ‘quackiness’ from piezo pickups. For optimal EQ shaping, it has a high - quality semi - parametric EQ from Carl Martin’s famous 3 Band Parametric Pre - Amp. To prevent feedback, there's a Phase Shift switch. It also comes with a tuner and an overall mute switch. The back panel has all necessary connections, including 1/4” input, unbalanced 1/4” output, balanced XLR out with ground lift, an insert section, and 9V DC input with a direct DC output for extra pedals.

Using the Carl Martin Acoustic GiG Guitar Pedal is easy. First, connect your guitar to the 1/4” input on the back panel. If you want to connect it to an amplifier or a mixer, use the unbalanced 1/4” output or the high - quality balanced XLR out. You can also use the insert section right after the boost and before the EQ section if needed. For power, plug in a 9V DC power source. When using the pedal, start by adjusting the Compressor/Limiter circuit according to your needs. You can control the compression and level separately. Then, play around with the Vintage Style Echo. Set the level, tone, and repeat to get the echo effect you like. Use the tap - tempo feature to sync the echo with your playing rhythm. The Reverb gives a nice warm sound. You can increase the settings to get a more complex modulation/chorus/reverb texture. The Boost is great for solos. Just turn it on when you need that extra volume. The semi - parametric EQ allows you to shape the tone of your guitar. Adjust it to make your guitar sound just right. If you experience feedback, try using the Phase Shift switch. The tuner is handy for keeping your guitar in tune. Just press the relevant button to use it. And the mute switch can be used to quickly silence your guitar. When it comes to maintenance, keep the pedal clean. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures and humidity. If you're not using it for a long time, store it in a dry and safe place.
