Using the M-Audio Oxygen 49 MKV is a piece of cake. First, connect it to your computer using the USB cable. Then, select your DAW on the keyboard controller and configure your DAW's preferences to match. For creating beats, use the Note Repeat feature on the 8 velocity-sensitive trigger pads. Just hold down a pad and choose the note repetition you like. You can use it in Momentary or Latch mode. The Arpeggiator is great for adding a dynamic touch to your music. Activate it and play keys on the keyboard. You can control its Type, Octave, Gate, and Swing. Use the Smart Chord and Smart Scale features to create music more easily. With Smart Chord, press a single key to play a full chord. You can even set it in Custom Mode. Smart Scale ensures you only play notes within a chosen scale, so no wrong notes. When using the assignable knobs and faders, you can control virtual instruments and plugins. The transport buttons let you control your DAW without reaching for the mouse.
