Product Detail

The EMG 35TW is an amazing 4-string bass pickup. It's super versatile, offering two different tonal options in one compact unit. Built for 4-string bass guitars, it combines single-coil and humbucker setups. This means you can smoothly switch between a rich, warm tone and a powerful, aggressive sound with strong mid-range. It suits a wide variety of music styles and playing techniques. In single-coil mode, it uses EMG's JCS pickup with ceramic and steel magnets, giving a warm and clear tone - great for music that needs precision. Switch to humbucker mode, and the CS dual-coil setup kicks in, delivering a fuller, more aggressive sound with enhanced mid-range, perfect for rock and heavy music. The package includes a push/pull pot, so you can easily change tones during a performance. It comes in EMG's 35 Extended housing, 3.5 inches (89mm), which fits most standard 4-string bass guitars. For the best performance, use a DPDT toggle switch when using two TW pickups in one instrument. Key features include a dual-mode design, a warm single-coil mode, an aggressive humbucker mode, easy tone switching, and a housing that fits most 4-string basses. Technical specs show it has a copper logo, ceramic and steel magnets, and specific output and frequency details. The package also includes a 25k tone pot, push/pull pot, battery bus, stereo output jack, mounting screws, pickup cable, connect cables, output cable, and battery cable. Note that the image might not exactly represent the product.

Using the EMG 35TW bass pickup is easy. First, install it on your 4 - string bass guitar. The 3.5 - inch housing should fit most standard guitars. You can use the included mounting screws for this. Once installed, you can start playing around with the tones. To switch between single - coil and humbucker modes, use the push/pull pot that comes in the package. It allows you to quickly change your sound during a performance. For better performance, especially when you have two TW pickups in the same instrument, use a DPDT toggle switch. As for maintenance, keep the pickup clean. You can use a soft cloth to wipe it gently. Check the connections regularly to make sure they are tight. The battery life is about 1500 hours. When the battery runs out, replace it with a new one following the instructions on the battery cable. Also, make sure not to exceed the maximum supply of 27V DC to avoid damaging the pickup.
