Product Detail

The Vic Firth V8705 Professional Percussion Kit is a top - notch musical instrument. It features high - quality bells that create a brilliant sound, including low F and F# bars. With a 32 - note range, these bells have pitch letter names for easy playing. The neoprene bar mounting requires no maintenance, and the endplates are made of ABS while the cross - support is metal. The kit comes with a Gibraltar - designed stand, which has 1” chrome tubing, nylon bushing, and a wide tripod base, offering stability. There's also a basket - style platform bell mount. The tunable 8” practice pad allows for effective practice sessions. You can choose between a popular backpack or a convenient traveler bag for easy transport. The deluxe nylon bag is fully padded with interior accessory compartments, a padded bell navigator, a large exterior compartment for sheet music, an exterior ID window, detachable comfortable straps, and padded carrying handles. The kit also includes a detachable music rack, birch shaft mallets, and drumsticks. Serial numbers are present on the badge and carton. The bells cover 2.5+ octaves from F5 - C8, and the bars are made of satin - finish aluminum, 1” wide and 3/16” thick. The stand is single - braced and height - adjustable from 25” to 37”. The sticks are SD1 General, and the mallets have a 7/8” phenolic ball with a birch shaft. The bag dimensions are 25.5” in length, 15.5” at the low end, 8” at the high end, and 5” in depth.

Using the Vic Firth V8705 Percussion Kit is easy. First, set up the stand. Adjust its height according to your comfort, which can range from 25” to 37”. Then, place the bells on the stand using the basket - style platform bell mount. If you want to practice quietly, use the tunable 8” practice pad. You can adjust its pitch to suit your needs. When you're ready to play, grab the birch shaft mallets or drumsticks included in the kit. For sheet music, use the detachable music rack. When it's time to move around, choose either the backpack or traveler bag. The deluxe nylon bag has plenty of compartments to keep your accessories organized. Make sure to keep the kit in a dry place. Avoid exposing the bells and bars to extreme temperatures or humidity, as this can affect their sound quality. If the stand or other metal parts get dirty, you can clean them with a soft cloth. The neoprene bar mounting doesn't need special maintenance, but check it regularly for any signs of wear. When storing the kit, put it back in the bag and keep it in a safe place.
