Product Detail
Musicians and sound engineers used to love Sescom's old bright blue DI boxes. Now, due to customer demand, Sescom has brought back its famous DI box. Leveraging our extensive knowledge of transformers from countless real - world tested prototypes, the SES - DIPRO is a top - notch solution. It's the simplest and best - designed direct box to connect high - impedance, line - level, unbalanced output signals to low - impedance microphone - level balanced inputs via XLR. With its combo jack input and 3 - way attenuation, the DIPRO can handle unbalanced instrument - level signals, as well as unbalanced and balanced line - level signals, converting them to mic level. Ideal for live sound, electronic musical instruments, or connecting amplifier line - level outputs to balanced mixing console inputs. It's a single - channel unit, so you don't pay for what you don't need. Use two for stereo applications, enabling you to run effects on one channel while keeping the other effect - free. Built with heavy - duty construction in a black anodized extruded aluminum housing, it eliminates the colored sound common in other DI boxes. Our unique high - fidelity circuitry ensures the most accurate and true sound from your device. Key features include passive operation, high - fidelity circuitry, balanced/unbalanced sensing at the input, a ground lift switch, a phase select switch, a 3 - position attenuation switch, heavy - duty construction, and a loop - out jack. Technical specs: Input connectors are 1 x 1/4” XLR combo jack; output connectors are 1 x Neutrik XLR - M Mic - Level (Balanced) and 1 x 1/4” Loop Out (TS or TRS). Input impedance varies at different dB levels, output impedance is 1kΩ. Frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz +/- 0.25 dB. Total harmonic distortion and linear performance are well - defined. Controls include a 3 - position attenuation switch, phase select switch, and ground lift switch. Dimensions are 5.4” x 3.2” x 1.9” and it weighs 0.66 lbs (300 grams). The package includes 1x SES - DIPRO Studio - Quality High - Fidelity Passive DI Box.
Using the Sescom SES - DIPRO DI box is easy. First, connect your high - impedance, line - level, or unbalanced instrument to the 1/4” XLR combo jack input. Then, connect the Neutrik XLR - M output to your mixing console or studio preamp. If you want to send a signal to another device, use the 1/4” loop - out jack. You can adjust the signal level with the 3 - position attenuation switch (- 20 dB, - 40 dB, - 60 dB). The phase select switch can help you correct phase issues, and the ground lift switch can reduce hum and noise. For stereo applications, use two units. Just be careful when running effects on one channel and leaving the other effect - free. When it comes to maintenance, keep the box clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. If you notice any problems, check the connections first. If the issue persists, contact Sescom's customer service.
