The EMG 85 Guitar Humbucking Pickup in brushed black chrome with a short shaft is a classic. It's one of EMG's earliest pickups, packed with Alnico V magnets. Inside the box, you'll find a 25K Volume Pot, a 25K Tone Pot, a Battery Bus, a Stereo Output Jack, a Two Pickup In/Out Bus, a pair of mounting screws and springs, a pickup cable, two connect cables, an output cable, and a battery cable.
Using the EMG 85 guitar pickup is easy. First, use the included mounting screws and springs to install the pickup in your guitar. Connect it to the 25K Volume Pot and 25K Tone Pot, which let you adjust the sound. The Battery Bus powers the pickup, so make sure to connect the battery cable correctly. The Stereo Output Jack and Output Cable are for getting the sound out to your amplifier. When using it, you can switch between different tones by adjusting the volume and tone pots. If you want to change the pickup later, the solderless system makes it simple. Just disconnect the cables. For maintenance, keep the pickup clean. Wipe it gently with a soft cloth.
