Product Detail
In 2010, EMG Pickups launched the 57/66 Set. Now, after 10 years, it presents the dual - mode versions of this popular set. These pickups offer selectable single and dual - coil sounds through EMG's unique three - coil design. The 66 model fingerboard pickup has a well - loved humbucker design. When you choose the single - coil mode, it gives you a smooth and fluid playing experience. It's a hybrid design using both ceramic and alnico magnets, which makes the single - coil tone clear and powerful. The 57 neck pickup combines alnico and steel, making it great for rock in both single and dual - coil modes. The single - coil selection is seamless and smooth, with high resonance for clear tones. As an extension of the popular 57/66 Set, EMG has elevated it to a new level. The 57/66 TW Set comes with EMG's solderless wiring harness. Each pickup has a push - pull potentiometer, along with two standard tone controls for any setup. The package includes EMG's exclusive solderless install system with 2 TW P/P Switch W/ POT (25K), 2 25K Tone Controls, 1 Stereo Output Jack, 1 Two Pickup In/Out Buss, 1 Battery Buss, 2 Pair Mounting Screws and Springs, 1 TW Pickup Cable 16', 1 TW Pickup Cable 11', 4 Connect Cables, 1 Output Cable, and 1 Battery Cable.
Using your EMG 57/66 TW Set Dual Mode Guitar Pickup is easy. First, install it following the included solderless install system. Connect all the cables as shown in the package. Once installed, use the push - pull potentiometer on each pickup to switch between single and dual - coil sounds. The two standard tone controls let you adjust the tone to your liking. When you're not using the guitar, keep it in a dry and cool place to prevent damage to the pickups. Clean the pickups gently with a soft cloth to remove dust. If you need to replace the battery, use the battery cable and make sure to turn off the guitar first. Don't expose the pickups to extreme temperatures or moisture, as this can affect their performance.
