The Klein Electronics BodyGuard MultiPin Y2 Split Wire Earpiece for Vertex Radios is an adjustable earloop split - wire security kit. It can be used for either the left or right ear. If you order the BodyGuard Quick - Disconnect (BodyGuard - QD) earpiece, a separately - sold Quick - Disconnect adapter is needed. It comes with a PTT button/Microphone combo and a steel clothing clip. There's also an SMEP7 available option. This earpiece is compatible with multiple Vertex models like MH - 360M, MH - 450M, MH - 50A7A, VH - 110, VH - 115M, VH - 120/130/215M/225M, VX - 600, VX - 800, VX - 900.
Using this earpiece is easy. First, adjust the earloop to fit either your left or right ear comfortably. Connect it to your Vertex radio following the standard connection process. If you've ordered the BodyGuard Quick - Disconnect earpiece, make sure to attach the separately - sold Quick - Disconnect adapter. When using, clip the steel clothing clip to your clothes for stability. As for maintenance, keep it clean by gently wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. When not in use, store it in a safe place to prevent damage.
