Product Detail

The Heil Sound Pro 7 is an outstanding aviation-style headset tailored for amateur radio use in noisy environments. Its specially crafted foam-gel ear pads can reduce outside noise by 26 dB and offer amazing comfort. As a true dual-channel, stereo headset, the Pro 7 Series comes with an audio balance control. This feature lets you adjust the left earphone's volume to match the right one. A unique phase-reversal switch helps you pick out weak signals easily. The latest Pro 7 version has a monitor jack, allowing a second operator to plug in headphones and listen to the audio. The low-distortion Dynamic HC-7 microphone element has a frequency response from 100 Hz to 12 kHz, with -3dB points at 100 Hz and 12 kHz. It has great speech articulation, with a traditional Heil rise centered at 2K - 4KHz and well-balanced highs and lows. The impedance is 600 ohms, making it one of the best for clear speech. Key features include a large PTT switch, military-grade straight and coiled cables, an extra set of ear pads, and washable cotton ear pad covers. Technical specs cover generating elements (Dynamic iC | iC Electret), frequency response (100 Hz - 12 kHz | 35 Hz - 12 kHz), polar pattern (Cardioid | Cardioid), impedance (600 Ohms | 1.5 k ohms), output level (-57 dB at 1 kHz | -48dB at 1 kHz), weight (17 oz | 17 oz), and required adapter (AD-1 Series | AD-1 series with AD-1-iC included).

Using the Heil Sound PRO7BU headset is easy. First, put on the headset and adjust it to fit your head comfortably. You can use the audio balance control to make sure the sound in both ears is just right. If you're having trouble hearing weak signals, try using the phase-reversal switch. When another operator wants to listen, simply plug their headphones into the monitor jack. For the microphone, just speak clearly into it. As for maintenance, you can remove and wash the cotton ear pad covers regularly to keep them clean. Be careful with the cables, especially the military-grade ones. Don't bend or twist them too much. If you need to change the adapter, make sure to use the AD-1 series as recommended. And always store the headset in a dry and safe place when not in use.
