The Yamaha TP70 is a newly developed 7.5-inch rubber Snare/Tom pad. It has a compact yet easy-to-hit shape. Thanks to Yamaha's DTX - PAD development experience, this pad offers excellent playability. Its softer head gives just the right bounce, and the non - slippery surface makes playing with sticks feel natural. Divided into 3 zones, it supports open and closed rimshots when used with a compatible DTX trigger input*. It's an ideal snare upgrade for the DTX400K. Moreover, on DTX500/700/900/M12 models, you can assign different voices to each zone, enabling highly original performances. For instance, hitting the head area can produce an acoustic drum sound, the open rim area a cowbell sound, and the closed rim area a loop sound.

Using the Yamaha TP70 is easy. First, connect it to a compatible DTX trigger input if you want to use the rimshot features. When you play, use drumsticks on the pad.
