The Nektar Impact GX Mini USB MIDI Controller Keyboard packs the power of Nektar's well - known Impact GX series into a portable design that easily fits in your backpack. It features 25 velocity - sensitive mini keys, offering a firm and defined feel for expressive playing. You can choose from three velocity curves to match your playing style. The joystick allows you to control pitch bend, modulation, and other real - time MIDI messages. Its left/right axis controls pitch, and the up/down axis can be used for modulation, foot control, or other assignable MIDI CC - messages. With eight dedicated buttons, you can control your DAW right from the keyboard. It supports most popular DAWs like Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase, FL Studio, and Studio One. The unique Part 2 feature enables momentary transpose, layering, and more. There's also a footswitch connector, which is programmable and can be used to assign any MIDI CC message. The Nektar DAW Integration gives you extended transport control, track navigation, and more without using the mouse. Using the Nektar Impact GX Mini is a breeze. First, connect it to your device via the included micro USB cable. For iOS devices, you'll need an optional Apple Camera Kit. If you want to use a sustain pedal, connect it to the 1/8” inch jack. When playing on the 25 mini keys, you can adjust the velocity curve to your preference. Just choose from the standard, soft, or hard curves. Use the joystick to control pitch bend and modulation while playing. The eight dedicated buttons above the joystick let you control your DAW. Install the Nektar DAW Integration to access extended features. When you want to use the Part 2 feature, press the dedicated button to shift the octave, transpose, or layer notes. Let go of the button, and it'll revert to the original settings. Remember, the system requirements vary. The keyboard works with any DAW or MIDI music software on OS X, Windows, and iOS without a driver. But for the Nektar DAW Integration, you need Windows 7/8/10 or higher and Mac OS 10.7 or higher. To keep your keyboard in good condition, clean it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Store it in a dry and cool place when not in use.
