Product Detail

The Lowell CT830A is a single-unit, high-performance 8-inch 20-watt coaxial speaker driver. It features a post-mounted, coaxially positioned 3-inch tweeter, which offers better performance than traditional full-range (dual cone) speakers. The tweeter provides wide dispersion in the high frequency range, making speech and music more intelligible between speakers. It's an excellent choice for quality paging, public address, and background music. This speaker has a first-order high pass filter on its high frequency driver to protect it from harmful bass energy. When paired with Lowell's DX Series acoustic backbox (1 - 3 cu.ft.) or a protective backbox with acoustic fiberglass batting, it delivers great low-end performance. The frame is made of 20-gauge stamped steel with a zinc-plated finish. With a power rating of 20W RMS, a mounting depth of 3.20 inches, a mounting bolt circle of 7.625 inches, a dispersion angle of 80 degrees conical, a frequency response of 57Hz - 14kHz (+/-6dB) and 44Hz - 20kHz (+/-7.6dB), and an average sensitivity of 97.0dB, it meets or exceeds industry standards and is made in the U.S.A. with global components.

Using the Lowell CT830A speaker is easy. First, choose a suitable location for installation. Make sure there's enough space according to the mounting depth of 3.20 inches and the mounting bolt circle of 7.625 inches. You can pair it with Lowell's DX Series acoustic backbox or a protective backbox with acoustic fiberglass batting to get the best low - end performance. When connecting, follow the standard audio connection procedures. As for the power, don't exceed the 20W RMS power rating to avoid damaging the speaker. For maintenance, keep the speaker clean by gently wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Don't expose it to extreme temperatures or humidity. Also, since it's made in the U.S.A. with global components and meets or exceeds industry standards, you can expect reliable performance, but always handle it with care to ensure its long - term operation.
