Product Detail

Introducing the Kurzweil SP6, a stage piano that combines power and simplicity. Built on the sonic excellence of the Forte, Forte SE, and PC3 series, it's powered by the new LENA processor. This brings your musical performances to new heights with amazing sound quality, lightweight design, deep control, and easy operation. You can enjoy the new High Definition Japanese Grand and German D Grand, each optimized for the SP6 and featuring “KSR” - Kurzweil String Resonance. The SP6 offers all the sample content from the Forte SE, along with a wide range of tailored sounds from the acclaimed Forte and Forte SE, as well as PC3 Series and KORE 64 expansions. It gives you more control over these sounds than ever before. Powered by Flash-Play, it boots in just 11 seconds with 2 GB of on-board sample content, zero-loading time, plenty of powerful DSP, and ultrafast performance. You can load programs from the Forte, Forte SE, and PC3 family (with some restrictions). Key features include being the lightest professional 88-note model ever. Every sound is perfectly matched to its 88-note fully-weighted hammer-action keyboard. You can further adjust the response to your playing style via 10 selectable key velocity maps. You can also activate up to 4 independent Arps (1 per program, 4 per Multi) with dedicated on/off and tap tempo buttons. Technical specs: It has an 88-note fully-weighted hammer-action keyboard with velocity sensitive keys, a 128x64 pixel monochrome LCD display, 128 voice polyphony dynamically allocated, 16 parts (one per MIDI channel), and various synthesis technologies. It offers easy quick split/layer with adjustable relative volume (up to 4 zones), 256 factory programs, 1024 user programs, 130 factory multis, 1024 user multis, and 5 favorites. It's 100% compatible with Forte SE programs and can load sounds from the Forte and PC3 family (with some restrictions). It doesn't support General MIDI but has Kurzweil String Resonance and Piano Damper Noise. There are hundreds of complex effect chains with award-winning effects and 32 total FX units. It comes with various controllers like a pitch wheel, modulation wheel, etc. It has analog outputs, a headphone output, MIDI and USB ports, and software editors for different devices. You can get free OS updates over USB and/or Flash Drive. Included accessories are a power cable, switch pedal, and USB cable. It measures 5.75 inches in height, 15 inches in depth, 52.5 inches in length, weighs 27.25 lb., and requires an external power supply of 15VDC 2.5A.

Using the Kurzweil SP6 is a breeze. First, connect it to a power source using the included power cable. Plug in any pedals you want to use through the appropriate pedal inputs. To start making music, turn it on and wait for the 11-second boot-up. You can then choose from the 256 factory programs or create your own using the 1024 user programs. Adjust the sounds according to your preference using the front panel knobs and switches. If you want to use arpeggiators, activate them with the dedicated buttons. For headphones, plug them into the back-panel 1/4” output. When it comes to maintenance, keep it in a dry and clean environment. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. To update the operating system, connect it to a PC/Mac/Flash Drive via the USB ports and follow the instructions. Also, be careful when handling the keyboard to prevent any damage to the keys. And always follow the guidelines for using the included accessories properly.
