The Cre8audio NiftyCASE is a medium - sized euro rack case that unlocks a world of possibilities! It's an excellent starting point for building a trendy and portable eurorack system. This isn't just an ordinary eurorack case; it offers all the power and connection options you'd ever need. With a hefty 2A of cumulative current through its +12v, -12v, and +5v power rails, it's perfect for all your modules. Connecting to computers or MIDI devices is a piece of cake, thanks to the built - in MIDI to CV conversion. It can take DIN - MIDI from any DIN - MIDI device or USB - MIDI from your computer and convert it into eurorack - compatible CV, gate, mod, and clock signals. The DIN - MIDI thru feature allows you to easily daisy - chain multiple NiftyCASES and integrate it with your MIDI gear. Technical details include an 84hp useable case area, 55mm internal depth, and a weight of 1.8kg. It has a 0 - 10V range for cv out 1 and 2, specific voltage outputs for gates, mod, and clock, and a 1/4” ts mono output on the rear. It supports MIDI in via USB and 5 - pin Din, and MIDI thru via 5 - pin Din and USB. The package includes the NiftyCASE and a switching power supply with blades for NA, EU, UK, and AU.
Using the Cre8audio NiftyCASE is easy. First, connect your modules to the power rails. The +12v, -12v, and +5v power rails provide enough power for most of your eurorack modules. To connect to a MIDI device or computer, use the built - in MIDI to CV conversion. You can either use DIN - MIDI from a DIN - MIDI device or USB - MIDI from your computer. The MIDI thru feature is great if you have multiple NiftyCASES or other MIDI equipment; just use it to daisy - chain them. When it comes to placement, make sure the case has enough space around it for ventilation, as the power supply can generate some heat. For maintenance, keep the case clean and free from dust. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe it down. If you're not using the case for a long time, store it in a cool, dry place. And always make sure to use the included switching power supply with the appropriate blade for your region to avoid any power - related issues.
