Product Detail

Do you love analog waveforms? So do we! The Cre8audio Capt'n Big - O Analog VCO Module is for those who adore big, massive analog sounds. It's crafted with 100% analog components, no chip - based oscillator here. The warmth and freshness of this module are like the sounds straight out of a classic synthesizer. Designed in partnership with Pittsburgh Modular Synthesizers, it packs a punch. The module has a wave folder and a new drive circuit. Technical specs include: 14hp width, 26mm depth. It offers sine, triangle, saw, and square waveforms. The wave folder can be routed to sine by default or patched to other waveforms or external sources. The drive circuit acts as a 75x overdriven VCA with 5V output. It has linear and exponential FM, hard sync, and pulsewidth modulation. Power draw is 120mA on +12V rail and 108mA on - 12V rail. The oscillator has a full frequency range from LFO to the audible spectrum and an input voltage range of - 10V to +10V.

Using the Cre8audio Capt'n Big - O Analog VCO Module is a breeze. First, connect it to your synthesizer setup. You can start by adjusting the oscillator's frequency using the controls. Try different waveforms like sine, triangle, saw, and square to create various sounds. If you want to add some unique effects, use the wave folder and drive circuit. The wave folder can be routed to different waveforms or external sources for interesting combinations. When it comes to power, make sure you're using the correct voltage rails, +12V and - 12V, and be aware of the power draw. For maintenance, keep it in a clean and dry environment. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. If you're not using it for a long time, store it safely. And always handle it gently to prevent any physical damage.
