Using the Seymour Duncan Deluxe Vapor Trail Analog Delay Pedal is a breeze. First, connect it to your guitar and amplifier using standard instrument cables. Plug in the external 9V - 18V regulated DC adapter (center pin negative) to power it up. To set your delay, use the Time control. You can choose from normal settings between 33ms to 1.6s or micro settings from 8ms to 400ms. Adjust the Repeats knob to get the number of echoes you want, from just one to a full runaway effect. The Mix control lets you blend the dry (original) and wet (delayed) signals. You can have 0% wet for just the original sound or up to 200% wet for a strong delay effect. If you want to add some modulation, use the Depth and Rate controls. The Depth adjusts the intensity of the modulation, and the Rate sets how fast it cycles. To use the tap tempo feature, just tap your foot on the pedal at the desired rhythm, and the delay time will follow. You can also use an expression pedal to smoothly sweep between two control settings. When you find a great sound, store it in one of the three preset locations. That way, you can quickly recall it later during your performance. For ambient exploration, use the Wet Insert to add your own outboard effects to the repeated signal. Try out the four new modes - Micro Delay, Pitch Sequence, Pitch Bender, and Runaway - to create unique sounds. Some important notes: Don't exceed the maximum current consumption of 150mA. Keep the pedal in a dry and cool place to avoid damage. If you're not using it for a long time, unplug the power adapter. And clean the pedal gently with a soft, dry cloth to keep it looking good and working well.
