The Klein Electronics BodyGuard MultiPin K2 Split Wire Earpiece is an excellent accessory for Kenwood radios. It comes with an adjustable earloop split - wire security kit that can be used on either the left or right ear. If you order the BodyGuard Quick - Disconnect (BodyGuard - QD) earpiece, you'll need a separately - sold Quick - Disconnect adapter (shown on the left). It features a PTT button/Microphone combo with a steel clothing clip, and the SMEP7 option is available. This earpiece is compatible with a wide range of Kenwood models including TK2140, TK2180, TK3140, TK3148, TK280, TK290, TK380, TK390, TK480, TK481, TK190, TK3180, TK5210, TK5220, TK5310, TK5320, TK5400, NX200, NX300, and the NEXEDGE Series.
Using this earpiece is easy. First, adjust the earloop to fit your left or right ear comfortably. Then, attach the PTT button/Microphone combo to your clothing using the steel clip. When you order the BodyGuard Quick - Disconnect earpiece, remember to also buy the Quick - Disconnect adapter separately. To keep your earpiece in good condition, clean it regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid getting it wet as this may damage the internal components. If you encounter any issues, check the connection with your Kenwood radio and make sure it's properly paired with the compatible model.
