Product Detail
The Gallien-Krueger Fusion 112 is a revolutionary 800W 1 x 12-Inch ultra-light bass combo amp. GK's Microbass and MB Series combos have long set the industry standard for performance and portability. Building on this legacy, the Fusion Series uses GK’s unique 6-stage tube preamp, 800-watt switch mode power amp, and Neodymium speakers. It delivers tube tone and high performance in a compact combo, previously only found in separate head and cab rigs.
This amp features GK’s classic 4-band EQ, foot switchable tube Overdrive with dedicated tone control, Balanced DI with selectable Pre/Post EQ, Effects Loop, Aux In, and Headphone Output. It also has a 2, 2.7, 4, and 8-ohm Load Capacity selector for optimal power with external cabinets. Each knob is push-activated, allowing you to engage “Drive” and “Mute” functions and access additional voicing filters like “Voice”, “Cut”, “Body”, “Contour”, “Hi Cut”, and “Presence”. The illuminated knob indicators change from white to blue when sub-functions are engaged, making on-the-fly adjustments easy even in the darkest settings.
The Fusion Combos use a unique interconnection system with gold-plated circuit board connectors instead of standard tin connectors on cables. This eliminates issues caused by vibration and temperature extremes over time.
Available in various speaker configurations (1x12, 1x15, 2x10, 2x12, and 4x10), it comes with Neodymium speakers made in GK’s California factory and a high-capacity 1” tweeter. The 800-watt switch mode power amp provides enough power for large stages and outdoor venues, and its universal power (100 - 240 volts) makes it suitable for any location worldwide.
Key features include a six-stage tube preamp, four-band active EQ, foot switchable tube overdrive, illuminated knobs with push-activated voicing filters, balanced XLR output, unbalanced 1/4” send and return, aux input, headphones output, twist lock speaker outputs, and more.
Technical specifications show its power output (400W internal at 8 OHM, 800W with 8 OHM or 4 OHM extension), input and output impedance, equalizer settings, noise level, power requirements, dimensions, and weight.
Using the Gallien - Krueger Fusion 112 is a breeze. First, make sure you're using the right power source. It can work with 100 - 240 volts, so you can plug it in anywhere in the world without a converter. Just find a stable power outlet and connect the amp.
When connecting your bass guitar, use the appropriate cable and plug it into the input jack. Adjust the input trim control to get the best sound for your instrument. You'll know you've got it right when the clip light only flashes occasionally. You can also choose between two amplifier voices by pressing the trim control.
The 4 - band EQ allows you to shape your sound. Play around with the Bass, Lo - Mid, Hi - Mid, and Treble knobs to get the tone you want. The voicing filters, activated by pushing the knobs, can further enhance your sound.
If you want to add some overdrive, use the foot switchable tube overdrive. It has a dedicated tone control to help you customize the sound.
For external devices, use the balanced DI for recording or connecting to a PA system. You can select Pre or Post EQ as needed. The Aux In is great for playing along with other music, and the Headphone Output is perfect for private practice.
When it comes to maintenance, keep the amp clean. Wipe it down regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. The fans in the cooling system are temperature - controlled, but if you notice excessive heat, make sure the amp has proper ventilation.
Finally, check the connections regularly. The gold - plated connectors in the interconnection system are corrosion - resistant, but it's still a good idea to ensure everything is securely connected.
