Product Detail

The CAD Audio 40-117 is a top-notch shock mount base with a push-to-talk switch. It's designed to effortlessly mount Astatic 800 and 900 series gooseneck microphones, or any third-party miniature gooseneck mic with a standard 3-pin XLR connection. Its portable design allows for quick setup on podiums, desks, and more. The top push switch has a status LED and offers push-to-talk and push-to-mute modes. The rubber shock-resistant base reduces noise from shock and vibration. With a 3-pin XLR female input and a 7' (2.13m) XLR male output cable, installation is a breeze. Key features include shock mounting, a push-to-talk/push-to-mute base, and an active LED (phantom power required). Technical specs: Die Cast Zinc with Steel Base Plate construction, 3-pin Female XLR connectors, PTT PTM control, dimensions of 1.7 x 4.4 x 4.5” (4.3 x 11.2 x 13.9cm), and a weight of 2 lbs (0.9kg).

Using the CAD Audio 40-117 is easy. First, connect your microphone to the 3-pin XLR female input on the base. Then, connect the 7' XLR male output cable to your audio device. You can place the base on a podium, desk, or other flat surface. To talk, simply press the top push switch. The status LED will show its status. When you're done speaking, press the switch again to mute. Remember, this base requires phantom power to work. For maintenance, keep the base clean and dry. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or humidity. If there's any dust, you can gently wipe it with a soft cloth. Don't use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials as they might damage the base.
