Product Detail

The original EMG J Set has been a huge hit right from the start. It offers sweeping harmonic overtones, great punch, and quiet operation. This pickup set features classic jazz bass traits with a wider tonal frequency range. It adds depth and clarity to your bass playing, whether you're on stage or in the studio, with fretted or fretless bass. EMG's design has a low resistance - to - inductance ratio, boosting the low - end response. The radiused ceramic bar magnet keeps a tight mid - range punch and a dynamic high - end response, giving you an incredibly full sound. Included in the package is EMG's exclusive solderless install system, which comes with 2 25K volume pots, 1 25K tone pot, 1 battery bus, 1 stereo output jack, 4 pairs of mounting screws, 2 pickup cables, 2 connect cables, 1 output cable, and 1 battery cable.

Using your EMG J Active Bass Pickup Set is easy. First, use the included solderless install system to set up the pickup. Install the 2 25K volume pots, 1 25K tone pot, battery bus, stereo output jack, and use the mounting screws to secure the pickups. Connect all the cables as per the instructions. When playing, you'll notice an enhanced sound with great low - end, tight mid - range, and dynamic high - end. For live performances or studio recordings, it will give you a full and clear sound. When it comes to maintenance, keep the pickups clean. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe them down. Check the battery regularly as it powers the active pickups. If the sound starts to degrade, it might be time to replace the battery. Also, make sure all the connections are tight to avoid any unwanted noise.
