Product Detail

The EMG FTX is a fresh take on the classic Telecaster pickup. Despite its appearance, it delivers all the twang and punch you'd expect, with amazing clarity and definition and no hum. The bridge pickup offers that classic chime without the harshness and a rich low - end. With the X preamp, it has even better dynamic control. When overdriven, it screams with long - lasting sustain and a sharp edge. The FTX uses Alnico magnets, a custom - engineered coil, and winding to give your sound fullness and a wider bandwidth, far beyond a typical Tele pickup. The package includes EMG's exclusive solderless install system: 1 25K volume pot, 1 active tone pot (VLPF), 1 battery bus, 1 stereo output jack, 1 two - pickup in/out bus, 1 pair of mounting screws and springs, 1 pickup cable, 2 connect cables, 1 output cable, and 1 battery cable.

Using the EMG FTX Neck Tele Active Guitar Pickup is easy. First, use the included solderless install system to set it up on your guitar. Connect the cables as labeled, and make sure the battery is properly installed in the battery bus. When you start playing, adjust the volume and tone pots to get the sound you like. You can try different settings for clean and overdriven sounds. For maintenance, keep the pickup clean. Wipe it gently with a soft cloth after use. Check the battery regularly and replace it when it runs out. Also, make sure all the connections are tight to avoid any sound issues. When storing your guitar, keep it in a cool and dry place to protect the pickup from damage.
