Product Detail

The EMG 707TW 7-String Soapbar Guitar Pickup is a unique take on the original 707. It offers a stacked single coil option along with the classic dual coil sound via a push/pull pot. This pickup solves the issue of a muddy low B string, bringing back rich harmonic character and clear definition. With Alnico V loaded, wide aperture coils, it boosts the Low B string tone while keeping the upper register balanced and articulate. It delivers a responsive and tight humbucker and single coil sound that guitar players adore. Unlike typical 'tapped' humbuckers, the 707TW has a separate coil for the single coil sound, giving you two distinct tones in one pickup. Whether you're playing Opeth-style jazz chords or palm-muted death chugs, these pickups will clearly articulate every note, chord, and harmonic. Suitable for both bridge and neck positions, they'll transform how you hear and play your 7-string guitar. Plus, EMG's Solderless wiring makes self - installation a breeze. The package includes EMG's exclusive solderless install system: 1 25K Tone Pot, 1 Push/Pull Pot, 1 Battery Bus, 1 Stereo Output Jack, 1 Two Pickup In/Out Bus, 1 Pair Mounting Screws, 1 Pickup Cable, 2 Connect Cables, 1 Output Cable, and 1 Battery Cable.

Using the EMG 707TW 7 - String Soapbar Guitar Pickup is quite straightforward. First, install it in your guitar. Thanks to the solderless wiring, you can do this on your own. Just follow the instructions in the package to connect all the components like the tone pot, push/pull pot, and cables. When you play, use the push/pull pot to switch between the dual coil and stacked single coil sounds. You can use it in both the bridge and neck positions of your 7 - string guitar, depending on the sound you want. For note - taking, keep in mind that the pickup works best with a well - maintained guitar. Check the battery regularly as it powers the pickup. If the sound starts to fade or change, it might be time to replace the battery. When it comes to maintenance, keep the pickup clean. You can use a soft cloth to wipe off any dust or dirt. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture as this can damage the components. Also, be gentle when handling the cables to prevent any breakage.
