Product Detail

In 2010, EMG Pickups launched the 57/66 Set. Now, a decade later, they're releasing the dual - mode versions of this highly popular set. These pickups are a game - changer, offering selectable single and dual - coil sounds thanks to EMG’s unique three - coil design. The 66 model fingerboard pickup has a well - loved humbucker design, and when you switch to single - coil mode, it gives you a brilliant, fluid sound. It's a hybrid design using both ceramic and alnico magnets, resulting in a clear and powerful tone in single - coil position. The 57 neck pickup combines alnico and steel, making it perfect for rock music in both single and dual - coil positions. The single - coil selection is smooth and seamless, with high resonance that ensures your tone comes through clearly. As an extension of the popular 57/66 Set, EMG has elevated this set to new heights. The 57/66 TW Set comes with EMG’s solderless wiring harness. Each pickup has a push - pull potentiometer, and there are two standard tone controls to fit any setup. Inside the package, you'll find EMG's exclusive solderless install system, including 2 TW P/P switches with 25K pots, 2 25K tone controls, 1 stereo output jack, 1 two - pickup in/out buss, 1 battery buss, 2 pairs of mounting screws and springs, 1 16' TW pickup cable, 1 11' TW pickup cable, 4 connect cables, 1 output cable, and 1 battery cable.

Using your EMG 57/66 TW Dual Mode Guitar Pickup Set is a breeze. First, unpack all the items from the box carefully. The solderless wiring harness makes installation easy - just connect the components as per the included instructions. The push - pull potentiometer on each pickup allows you to switch between single and dual - coil sounds. Experiment with the two standard tone controls to find the perfect sound for your playing style. When it comes to maintenance, keep your pickups clean by gently wiping them with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Make sure to check the battery regularly, as a weak battery can affect the sound quality. If you're not using the guitar for an extended period, it's a good idea to remove the battery to prevent leakage. And always handle the pickups with care to avoid any physical damage.
