Product Detail

The EMG 57/66 Active Humbucking Guitar Pickup Set in black, featuring a short shaft and standard spacing, is a must - have for guitarists. The 57 bridge humbucker is a classic. With a unique mix of Alnico V magnets and steel pole pieces, it offers a PAF - like tone. Its active design provides excellent headroom and punch, giving you sharp definition and strong presence. The 66 pickup is an innovation. Ceramic pole pieces offer clear upper - register tones and deep lows, while the preamp design delivers warm and smooth mid - ranges. These humbuckers, designed as neck and bridge pickups, come in EMG's exclusive finishes like brushed steel, gold, chrome, black chrome or black cap, adding a modern touch to any guitar. Installation is a breeze as it's completely solderless. Before buying, check the pickup measurement instructions to compare with your existing pickups. Inside the box, you'll find 2 25K volume pots, 2 25K tone pots, 1 battery bus, 1 stereo output jack, 1 two - pickup in/out bus, 2 pairs of mounting screws and springs, 2 pickup cables, 4 connect cables, 1 output cable, and 1 battery cable.

Using this EMG 57/66 guitar pickup set is straightforward. First, since it's solderless, you can easily install it on your own. Just follow the measurement instructions to ensure it fits your guitar properly. When you're ready to play, plug in your guitar and adjust the 25K volume and tone pots to get the sound you like. The battery bus powers the active pickups, so make sure to keep the battery charged. As for maintenance, keep the pickups clean. You can use a soft, dry cloth to wipe them down regularly. Avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures or humidity. If you notice any issues with the sound or connection, check the cables and make sure they're properly plugged in. And always refer back to the measurement instructions if you plan to make any changes or replacements in the future.
